As a member you are eligible to purchase from the US Army through the CMP, a service grade M1 Garand rifle after participating in one regular rifle match. There are no score requirements, just the fact that you participated in a club sponsored match. The rifles range in condition from good to excellent. Complete details can be obtained from any club officer at either a practice session or a match or by going to the CMP website.

In addition, each member is allowed to purchase from the club a limited amount of .30 caliber M2 Ball (30-06) ammunition in Garand clips. This is done at either a practice or a match and is limited to two (2) draws of 55 rounds each per calendar year. This is intended to provide new shooters with reasonably priced ammunition to help get them started in high power rifle shooting. All ammunition purchased from the club must be expended at the practice or match. Empty casings and spent Garand clips become the property of the shooter so as to encourage reloading and continued marksmanship.

Periodically there are held shooting clinics, special matches (Garand) (Military Bolt Action) etc., as well as special junior programs, such as Boy Scouts being able to earn the Rifle Shooting merit badge.
